ARC R10 takes 2nd at 2014 Ride Cup Final Round in Bangkok

Team ARC P.Y.Tang attended the recent 2014 Ride Cup Round 4 in Bangkok entering the Super Stock 13.5T class. Held at the RC Addict, it was only reasonable for the ARC driver to get some initial setup for the new ARC R10'15 ATS in the upcoming TITC 2015 which would be at the same location.

Running only 2 qualifying, P.Y.Tang TQ the first round seen running with a prototype Blitz bodyshell and the new hardness composite blocks in his ORCA-powered ARC R10. Kittipong R. then topped the group for the A-Final with the best time in Round 2, followed by P.Y.Tang and Araya I. New in the international scene, Y.S.Heng from Singapore driving an ARC as well, qualified in a respectable 9th made it to the main show.

Final Leg 1, 3 front cars pulled away from the rest of the pack. Kittipong R. made a mistake in the 1st minute while maneuvering through the right hand sweeper, allowing P.Y.Tang to take the pass. Kittipong R. in 2nd put the pressure on P.Y.Tang lap after lap until the very last minute when he took the inside line for the pass at the sweeper entry. Finishing order for Final Leg 1 remained the same at the start. Final Leg 2 was a 2-way battle between Kittipong R. and P.Y.Tang which led 3 seconds from 3rd position Araya after the 1st minute. Unable to pass, Kittipong R. would take Leg 2, P.Y.Tang in 2nd and Araya I. in 3rd. Kittipong R. sat out for Leg 3, opening up the 2nd overall podium up for grabs between P.Y.Tang and Araya I. However, P.Y.Tang would win leg 3 after a retirement from Araya I. in the middle of the run.
