ORCA takes 1st Runner-Up at TITC 2017

TITC 2017 was concluded on 19 February 2017 showcasing one of the largest race in Asia. The event was held at the newly-resurfaced track now called the Infinity Addict. Highly contested Open Brushless 13.5T once again saw over 100 entries with multiple TITC 1st Runner-Up Kittipong R. from Team ORCA posing a favorite for winning the class running the newly-released ORCA R32 speedo, ORCA RT motor and ORCA LCG HV Lipo.

The Open Brushless 13.5T would be another fierce competition seeing some fast guys joining the class from Xray's Jan Ratheisky and Tamiya's Takayuki Kono. In the qualifying, Jan Ratheisky would take the first 3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday with the closest rival Kittipong R. just behind by 0.5s and 0.3s, in Q1 and Q2. Kittipong qualified 4th overall while showing a slower pace when running on 2nd run tires, letting Kono and Dominic Quek moving up in position.

In the Final A1, a crash in front of the drivers stand dropped Dominic and Kono down the rank, with Kittipong R. hot pursuit and making moves on Jan Ratheisky. Kittipong made a daring move just before the finish line hoping to pass Jan catching the curb and retired afterwards. Jan would win A1 with Kono capatilizing on Kittipong's retirement and Felix Law took 3rd. In Final A2, Kittipong obvoiusly had the faster car, was able to overtake Jan on lap 5 and went on to win A2, with Jan in 2nd and Kono 3rd. With the champion up for grabs, it was down to Final A3, but with Kittipong unable to post any threat to the TQ running on old tires finishing 3rd in A3. with a 1st and 2nd, Jan Ratheisky takes the overall win, with Kittipong in 2nd and Kono in 3rd.
