In Q1, P.Y. exchanged lead with front runner Dominic and Sean. While P.Y.was leading halfway into the race and having a good chance to fight for TQ, he made a mistake at the finishing line taking too much curb and lost 5 seconds in that lap and dropped him back in the pack. P.Y. managed to recover to 4th. Sean in his Tamiya managed to take the lead from Dominic in his Xray, while Boon Yang took 3rd. in Q2, Dominic won the round, with Sean, Boon Yang and P.Y. in top 4. In order to get a better grid position, P.Y. gambled to use his 2nd set of tires in Q3 but while in a good pace and challenging for TQ, the race director decided to call off the round when drizzles fell. Dominic would start in front, followed by Sean, Boon Yang and P.Y. had to settle for 4th on the grid.
Final A1 was a close fight between the top 4 cars with Dominic holding pressure from Sean. P.Y. was able to move up a spot after Boon Yang made a mistake at the chicane on the first lap, and somehow managed to find the extra power in the last minute to overtake Sean for 2nd. Final A2 started with Sean going sideways at the first turn letting Boon Yang and P.Y. moving up to 2nd and 3rd. P.Y. having a quicker car unable to find a way to pass Boon Yang in the small technical track, and not until Boon Yang made a mistake again at the chicane allowing P.Y. to move up to 2nd, while Dominic already had a gap enough for him to stay in 1st. In Q3, Sean finished 1st followed by Boon Yang 2nd and a safe 3rd for P.Y. would ensure a 2nd overall.
