ROCS is Singapore’s most exciting on-road racing series for electric-powered R/C cars. Premiering on 12 February 2012, the series will be run over 6 races during the year. Raceworks Hobbies is privileged to have the support of Singapore’s R/C governing body, the Radio Control Modelers Club (RCMC), to sanction the series .

ORCA wins at Round #1 of the Pacific NW Showdown (January 15, 2012)

Dalton Shirk won the 2WD Stock class at Round #1 of the Pacific NW Showdown. Dalton's great driving was powered by the ORCAQ Spark ESC with ORCA RX2 17.5T Motor and ORCA Infinite 5500 60c 7.4V Lipo Battery. The 2WD stock class had 52 entrys. Dalton Shirk also took the TQ in Stock Short Course using the ORCA Vritra Pro-Spec MK2 ESC with ORCA RX2 17.5T Motor and ORCA Infinite 5500 60c 7.4V Lipo Battery.

ORCA wins at Hudy Indoor Championships (January 8, 2012)

Last weekend Hudy Indoor Championships was held in St. Louis, USA. Modified Class was TQ by Paul Lemieux, followed by Team ORCA USA Andrew Hardman and Martin Crisp in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the Finals, it was reported that Paul Lemieux had to retire after a crash, giving Andrew Hardman the win after multiple lead exchange with Martin Crisp. Drew Ellis took 2nd position when Martin Crisp crashed out while making a move on Andrew Hardman! Congratulations to Team ORCA USA for the great results!

9Turbo podiums at VRC 2011 World Championship 1:10 Nitro (December 24, 2011)

1:10 Nitro specialist Frank Hättich has added a 3rd consecutive world title to his impressive VRC career. After winning the title in 2009 at the Tamiya Kakegawa track in Japan, in 2010 in Fiorano Italy, Frank was now victorious at the Pegaso track in Mexico. His main rival was his country fellowman Ronald Völker who charged hard in the 45 minutes main final but fell 3.25 seconds short in the end. Thai ace Pongtorn Trayrananon using 9TURBO RCUSB-DSC-PPM completed the podium just 1 lap down on the 2 front runners.

XRAY & ORCA wins at TRCCA 2011 in Taiwan (December 18, 2011)

Team ORCA driver Ron Chen from Taiwan won the TRCCA 2011 in Taiwan just this past weekend. Ron Chen uses the ORCA Vritra VTC ProSpec MK2 ESC, ORCA RX2 Brushless Motor and ORCA Infinite Lipo to power his XRAY T3'12 to victory. Great results for Team ORCA coming from another part of the world. Congratulations to Ron Chen and Team ORCA!

ORCA finished 5th at Trang Thailand EP Open (December 11, 2011)

Reported by Team ORCA driver Azri Amri, he has again achieved a tremendous result from the recently held race in Trang, with top drivers from Japan, Atsushi Hara and top drivers from Thailand, Meen V., Tanit and Tanes, Azri Amri managed 5th overall based on qualifying result due to the rain which did not allow the racers to have any mains run.

With Azri running the new ORCA INFINITE 6500 70C Lipo battery, Azri manage the same no. of laps as the front runners. Being behind drivers like Hara and Meen's calibre is certainly nothing to be ashamed of, rather we are very proud of the result and would also like to thank Atsushi Hara san for again trying out the ORCA VRITRA VTC ProSpec MK2 ESC and achieving a wonderful result. The results are as follows.

ORCA wins ORCA BL Championship 2011 Final Round (December 11, 2011)

Final round of ORCA BL Championship 2011 was held at RC Central Track, Glenmarie in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event concluded its 2nd year running with a success. We will see more of this ORCA action in the upcoming races in Singapore.

ORCA wins Malaysia National Championships Round 5 (December 18, 2011)

ORCA once again dominated the recently held MNC Final Round, Round 5 at the Kota Raja track in Klang. Team ORCA dominated this race with 6 out of 10 drivers using ORCA's VRITRA TC-Spec MK2 ESCs and RX-2 Motors in A-Main. It has also been an achievement that ORCA has been winning or finished on Podium for all 5 rounds and ORCA driver winning the overall result for 3 years running. Its a great testiment for ORCA and for our Team Drivers. It has been a very very good year for ORCA and all its drivers, all achieving great results for the whole year.
