2011 Manila Touring Car Championship postponed to December 10-11, 2011

























GENERAL RULES

SUPER STOCK CLASS
Chassis: Any Brand 1/10th scale, 4wd Touring Car Chassis Only
Motor: Any Brand, 13.5 Brushless
ESC: Open - with (or without) Boost
Batteries: LiPo 2S, 6 Cell NiMh/NiCd Only
Weight: 1,400 grams (with transponder)
Body: Any 4-door touring car/sedan body, 190mm only. Roof/Wing Height and Wing Cord will be measured (Body Jig will be made available)
Tires: Sorex 36 Rubber Tires Only (ONLY 2 SETS PER RACER)
Wheels/Inserts: Open - Drivers may use brand of their choice.

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SUPER STOCK CLASS
TIRES: Only Sorex 36 Rubber Tires are allowed for the Super Stock 13.5 class. Each Racer is only allowed to run a maximum of two sets of tires for the entire race event -- from the first round of qualifying to the finals. To enforce this, tires of each participant will need to be submitted to the race director/officials on race day prior to race start for proper tagging/marking. Rims and Inserts remain to be open – racer’s can use what they prefer.
BODIES AND TIRES WILL BE INSPECTED BEFORE EACH ROUND. ANY VIOLATION WILL DISQUALIFY A RACER FROM RUNNING THAT ROUND.


NOVICE (Silver Can) CLASS
Chassis: Any Brand 1/10th scale, 4wd Touring Car Chassis Only
Motor: 540 Silver Can Brushed Motors only (ie. Mabuchi, Johnson)
ESC: Open (any brand)
Batteries: LiPo 2S, 6 Cell NiMh/NiCd Only
Weight: N.A.
Body: Any 4-door touring car/sedan body, 190mm. GT, Rally, etc type bodies ARE allowed for this class. Body Jig Specs will NOT apply for this class.
Tires: Any TC 24mm/26mm rubber tires.
Rims/Inserts: Open – any brand (driver’s choice)

RACE FORMAT:
5 Rounds of Qualifying – Best run result will be used to seed the mains.
Triple Mains/Finals – Best two to runs to count, scores of these rounds will be added up (1st Place = 1pt, 2nd Place = 2pts, and so on …) and lowest point total will be used to determine the winners of each class.

RACE SCHEDULES:
DAY 1: DEC 3, 2011 – Saturday
9am – Track Opens
9am – 12:30pm – Open Practice, Registration Starts, Tire Tagging/Marking
12:30pm – Registration and Tire Tagging/Marking Ends
12:30pm - Group/Heat Sorting and Posting
2pm – Tracked Closed/End of Open Practice
2:30pm – Start of Qualifying. 4 Rounds to be run on Day 1.

DAY 2: DEC 4, 2011 – Sunday
9am – Track Opens
9am – 12:30pm – Open Practice, Registration & Tire Tagging/Marking (only for Racers who did not register on Saturday)
12:30pm – Registration and Tire Tagging/Marking Ends
12:30pm - Group/Heat Sorting and Posting
2pm – Tracked Closed/End of Open Practice
2:30pm – Start of Qualifying. Final Round of Qualifying** and Finals.

OTHER GUIDELINES & INFO:
1) TRACK LAYOUT: A new layout will be used for the 2011 MTCC. This layout will be made available ONLY the DAY prior to the race (Friday - DEC 2, 2011).

2) PRACTICE TIME: A “Free Practice” (free means free for all or open to everyone …. So yes, regular track fees at JP Raceway will still apply) session will be from 7pm to 10:00pm ONLY. At 10:00pm, the track will be closed and practice runs will no longer be allowed. Next opportunity to practice will be during Open Practice Time on Saturday and Sunday as posted above. This evens out the track time for the participants. Others who have the luxury of playing on weekdays or any other day will not have the advantage of added track time with the new layout. YOU MAY OF COURSE PRACTICE AT THE TRACK USING THE CURRENT LAYOUT.

3) TURN MARSHALLING: Just like all our big races, we will be requiring turn marshalling for this race! Looking forward to your cooperation as always.

4) ROUGH/UNSPORTSMAN LIKE DRIVING will not be tolerated. Penalties will be applied.
