ARC R10 TQ and Wins AOC Round 2 in Malaysia

Team ARC-BLITZ-TITAN driver P.Y.Tang traveled to Malaysia for the Asian On-Road Championships Round 2 entering 2 classes in the Modified and 13.5T Boosted Touring. With over 80 entries total, this is the first AOC held in Malaysia.

P.Y.Tang took 3 rounds of 4 qualifying to secure TQ in the 13.5T Boosted class. Leg 1 of A-Final started off slow causing some contact on lap 2 dropping P.Y.Tang to 3rd with Michael Lo and Kew Sau Gie leading the leg. Michael Lo won leg 2 A-Final after a mistake by P.Y.Tang on the chicane losing about 3 seconds. P.Y.Tang managed to put his act back together in leg 3 showing his same pace in qualifying rounds, with Michael Lo finishing 2nd. With a tied points finishing both 1st and 2nd by 2 drivers, P.Y.Tang emerged the winner by 0.028s of combined timing.

Modified Class qualifying rounds, P.Y.Tang pace was not able to challenge the top 3 pace unable to get his car setup correctly due to short track time. After more changes in the setup and getting his car quicker round by round, P.Y.Tang ORCA-powered ARC R10 was able to TQ Round 4 to put him 3rd in the starting grid. Local Malaysian Heikal Bahrin took the TQ spot over 2nd place Siow Woon Foong. In the A-Finals, unfortunate contact put P.Y.Tang out of podium contention with finishing 4th in all legs, leaving Heikal Bahrin and Siow Woon Foong battling for the top 2 spot in the first 2 leg. Siow Woon Foong crashed out in Leg 3 giving Malaysian National Champion Jacky Siow the win.
