ARC R8.0 & BLITZ TS035 takes podium at 2016 Guankou Sunpadow Xiamen

Another outstanding performance by the Team ARC taking 3rd, 4th and 10th at the hotly contested event at 2016 Guankou Sunpadow RC Grand Prix in Xiamen, China. Despite arriving late one day before the control practise day, Toni Gruber managed to qualified directly into the semis and started from 4th in the main final. Silvio Hachler and Christiano would also qualified from semis started 5th and 9th respectively in the main final. ARC owner and designer, Jones Chu and Steven Pai, just misses out the main final spots despite a hard-fought semis.

In the main final, the fight would be between Simon Kurzbuch and Jesse Davis at the start. Kurzbuch would trail behind Davis but retaking the lead after the first tire change. Hachler and Gruber remained strong in the entire final finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.

In the electric division, main team driver P.Y.Tang from Singapore was not able to capitalized during the qualifying and final rounds despite having a good setup with his R11 2017 edition in the practise rounds. The ever-changing track conditions, due to 1/8 nitro cars running on the same day, made the setup changes more like a guessing-game. P.Y.Tang ended 13th in qualifying and Taiwanese-based Ron Chen 25th, with the finishing order 17th and 24th respectively.
