ARC-Muchmore podium at 2018 Urban Touring Series Round 1

Round 1 of 2018 Urban Touring Series took place at the Urban Playspace located in the heart of downtown Singapore. The series features 17.5T Blinky only to get more drivers of all levels competing in a single class. Five rounds in the series planned between January to November 2018.


Team ARC and Team Muchmore P.Y.Tang participated in the race to show off the new ARC R11 2018 and the Muchmore Fleta series power. Special attendance from former IFMAR World Champion Naoto Matsukura and the man behind Team Infinity, Kenji, made the race more exciting. Qualifying round started off with Dominic Quek taking Q1 0.5sec ahead of Naoto, and followed by P.Y.Tang at 1sec off. In Q2, Dominic would be challenged by P.Y.Tang and Naoto, all three drivers exchanging leads. P.Y. took the lead midway until towards the end a mistake at the S-turn gave Dominic another TQ run at 0.3sec advantage. In Q3, P.Y.Tang again found some pace but Dominic would hold off a 0.5sec lead towards the end. After 3 qualifying rounds, Dominic took the TQ spot, P.Y.Tang in 2nd and Naoto in 3rd.

8. Sebastian Lee - Tamiya

In Final leg 1, Dominic got off a good start creating a small gap when P.Y.Tang falling a little behind while being pressured by Naoto. P.Y. managed to hold off Naoto and started to gain pace making the fastest lap of the day of 10.6sec. Dominic maintained his pace and took the win 0.8sec ahead of P.Y., and Naoto finished 3rd. In Final leg 2, the top 3 finished where they started. With Dominic sitting out Final leg 3, the runner-up spot is still undecided between Naoto with two 3rds and P.Y.Tang two 2nds. Naoto did not disappoint the crowd showing why he is a former world champion by creating early pressures on P.Y.Tang at the start of Final leg 3. Mistakes from P.Y. at the S-turn open up a gap for Naoto to make the pass. P.Y.Tang did not recover from that mistake and Naoto went on to take the win.

An after race interview with ARC/Muchmore P.Y.Tang stated that he is very happy with his recent results after switching to Muchmore power and the new edition ARC R11 is working well. He is very comfortable with the current car setup and has a very good drive feel with the new power and happy to be on pace with the top drivers in the recent races. P.Y.Tang piloted the new edition ARC R11 2018 equipped with Muchmore Fleta Pro V2 speedo, Muchmore Fleta ZX V2 17.5T Euro and Muchmore Impact 6400mAh 110C LiPo Batteries
