Team ARC P.Y.Tang reported to us that he recently had the honor to be invited to the 2014 Indonesia RC Championships which was held in Semarang, Indonesia. Hosted by the local hobby shop, Red Carpet, the event was held in conjunction with a hobby expo and competition organized by Suara Merdeka, a local newspaper publisher.
Qualifying of 4 rounds were ran on the Saturday and another round on Sunday before the final mains. Points system was used with best 4 rounds to be taken. The track is techincal medium-sized sugar-watered with low to medium traction, with track temperature hitting up to 75degC. Using a prototype ATS in his ARC and debuting the ORCA VX3 speedo, P.Y.Tang topped 4 rounds but a DNF in Q2 due to a collision with a back marker. Suwardi Suliandy, Faiza Murphy, and Asdi had some good runs in opening up 2nd qualifying spot, with the positions ended as in this order.

Final Leg 1 and Leg 2 was ran under a hot afternoon sun with track temperature reaching 72degC. Air temperature was at 38degC. Under extreme conditions, the track becomes low in traction. P.Y.Tang managed to take the first 2 legs running away after some initial pressure from Faiza Murphy and Suwardi Suliandy. Faiza Murphy won Leg 3 handing him the 2nd position overall followed by Suwardy Suliandy.
